Digital Arts + Animation (July) - Afternoon Session
An introductory course exploring the cutting-edge universe of digital arts and animation geared toward older kids and teens. Mr. Billy has been working with digital arts since the 90s and teaching since 2008. We will use the programs Krita, and Blender, fun professional and free open-source programs for 2D and 3D art and animation. Students will learn to make digital paintings, design pixel art, classic animation techniques, and 3-D modeling/rendering through various small projects. Mr. Billy can help to install the software.
Special requirement: Laptop computers must be brought by the students (and don't forget the power cord just in case). PC or Mac does not matter. Basic computer experience is highly recommended. If students own a mouse or drawing tablet those tools help digital artists immensely, but are not required. Many students find the "Wacom Intuos Draw" to be an affordable drawing tablet on Amazon for around $50. It is not unusual for students to borrow a family member's computer for class.
