Our Studio, Your Creative Space

Our Story

At Elm Street Studio, we believe that art is for everyone—whether you're just getting started or have years of experience behind the brush. Our goal is to provide a welcoming, relaxed space where people of all ages and backgrounds can explore their creativity, learn something new, and connect with others who value the joy of making art.

We offer a wide variety of creative classes and workshops throughout the year, including drawing, painting, digital media, mixed media, and more. Our sessions are designed to meet students where they are, with guidance from experienced instructors who love to teach and share their craft. Many of our teachers are certified educators or long-time working artists with a deep passion for both art and education.

The Elm Street Community

The studio itself is located in a charming building at 139 Elm Street—right in the heart of our community. Over the years, the space has grown into more than just a classroom. It’s become a small hub for creative expression and collaboration. We’re proud to share our space with other talented creatives, including Adrian of Viva Pottery and Laura of Unearthed Therapy.

Our class lineup changes seasonally, about every three months. To stay in the loop about new sessions, special events, or gallery happenings, we invite you to join our email list.

Whether you're here to take a class, visit the gallery, or just drop in and say hello—you're always welcome at Elm Street Studio.

We offer a variety of creative classes and workshops to nurture your creative endeavors. Our offerings include, but are not limited to, drawing, painting, digital media, crafts, etc. Our list of classes changes about every month; to be alerted to each new session, join our email list.

Meet the founder

As a certified art education specialist with more than 18 years of teaching experience, I take pride in the fact that our instructors are either certified educators with the state of Texas or have significant years of experience and expertise in their respective field as well as an understanding of how to transfer that knowledge. Teaching is a craft in and of itself, not to be undervalued.

Art is the visual documentation of human history. It is a universal language. Do you know it? If not, consider joining us and learning more about yourself, your culture, and the community around you. Whether you find nourishment in seeing what new treasures we have in the gallery or if you would like to discover the joy of mark-making, we have something here at Elm Street Studio to nurture your creative endeavors.

Thank you for taking the time to drop by our site, please let us know if you have any questions or comments to share.

Creatively,
Shelly
